Roger A. Kluge

Roger A. Kluge is managing director of DeWitt Stern, a national insurance brokerage firm, overseeing the insurance portfolios of more than 450 luxury residential real estate properties and community associations in the New York Metropolitan area. Kluge has particular expertise in the unique risk management issues that confront boards in today’s complex environment.

As one of the largest entertainment insurance brokers in the country, DeWitt Stern is fortunate to have major dance companies, prestigious venues, regional theatres, and Broadway and Off Broadway productions as long term clients.

In addition, Kluge have been a Trustee of Paul Taylor Dance Foundation, Inc. (PTDF) since 2012, Co-chair of PTDF’s Events Committee and a member of the Nominating and Gala committees. Kluge has also been Co-chair of the Dancers Responding to AIDS Fire Island Dance Festival for the past eight years. Prior to being Co-chair of the Event, Kluge was on the Steering Committee for six years. It was a thrilling achievement to have raised a record $585,000 at the 2017 Event.

Kluge recently joined the Board of MOVETHECOMPANY America, founded by Canadian choreographer Joshua Beamish, and is very excited about the world premiere of Beamish’s The Masque of the Red Death at The Joyce Theatre in June 2018.

Also elected to Kluge’s Co-op Board in 2005, serving as Vice President, Chairman of Insurance and Capital Improvement, and a member of the Membership Committee. The Co-op Board successfully completed a $3,750,000 siding and window replacement project during Kluge’s tenure on the Board. The project had a positive impact on the Co-op Association, as well as the Fire Island Pines Community overall.
